Our Legacy
RMC Ox-Yoke’s entry to the Muzzleloading world began in 1981 in the home garage of Bob and Marjorie Rightnour. Like most people living in rural Pennsylvania, Bob Rightnour has a love for hunting and the outdoors, so him and his wife built their business from the ground up designing and manufacturing a selection of American made muzzleloading accessories.
As their dream of expanding their business became a reality, they moved into an 8,000 sq./ft. facility. With the new building they were able to purchase more machines and hire more employees. The business quickly outgrew the 8,000 sq./ft. building and had to add a 13,000 sq./ft. building in Mingoville, Pennsylvania, again hiring even more employees, and opening a retail outlet which carried hunting, archery, and fishing products.
The company expanded further in 2005 when Rightnour Muzzleloding Co. purchased the Ox-Yoke company in Milo, Maine and added a 16,000 sq./ft. building in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania to produce an all new complete line of muzzleloading cleaners, lubes, patches, and other hunting and gun care products.
In 2009 RMC Ox-Yoke introduced its very own RMC Accusporter flintlock muzzleloader. All of the products used to make the Accusporter are American made, designed, and manufactured here at RMC Ox-Yoke. RMC included all of the features a muzzleloader hunter would want and combined them with the best components available into what we like to call a “production custom” rifle.
Today, nearly 40 years later, RMC Ox-Yoke is a 3rd generation family run business with a new 20,000 sq./ft. building in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania housing all of RMC Ox-Yoke’s production under one roof as well as a retail store. We still honor Bob’s original beliefs that quality, price, and customer service are the most important aspects to meet the demands of our customers.
